# Takes and the history

> How AI Audio keeps every run and take with its settings, plays them on waveforms, makes variations and downloads WAV or MP3.

A run makes one to four takes, which appear one by one. A run is **queued**, **running**, **done** or **failed**. Play a take on its waveform, rename it, download it, make variations (same settings, new seeds) or reuse a run's settings.

A failed run is refunded the takes it never made. A run you queued by AI is made when somebody has AI Audio open.
